Pakistan is reputed to offer a rich and various handicraft objects and since the Indus civilisation (5500-1300 BC) and influenced by Islam in term of geometric shapes and calligraphy. From Pakistan you can find some wonderful handicraft such as textile, oil painting, sculptures, pottery, vase, wood, stone crafting and salt lamps. The famous handicrafts are the Ajrak designs of Sindh, blue pottery (Kashi) of Multan and Gujraati pottery and Rilli. The craft of making patchwork quilts are mainly in Sindh and Balochistan. The woodwork is mainly from Chiniot. Handicrafts provide a view of Pakistan’s kaleidoscopic culture and traditions.
